Christy Hui is the Director/Writer/Producer of TEA: The Drink That Changed The World, on a mission to preserve tea traditions and celebrate humanity through tea culture. A lifelong tea aficionado who grew up watching her father practice Gong Fu Cha in China, she spent seven years creating this TEA Documentary, gaining unprecedented access to film in China's forbidden tea region of Wuyi Shan—the heart of tea history.

Over her 7-year film journey, Christy discovered that the more she learned about tea, the more there is to know. The tea realm is mystical, boundless. Through immersive tea gatherings, she fulfills her purpose of enriching people's understanding and appreciation for tea, as this simple beverage holds timeless values that elevate the human spirit for mindful living in our increasingly digital world. #TeaSpirit

You'll taste authentic Wuyi Oolong tea and Wuyi Black teas—both Lapsang Souchong—the original invention with smokey aroma, as well as the modern innovation of refined Black tea known as Jin Jun Mei, without the smokey aroma. These teas are produced in the mountains where we filmed the documentary.

Chances are good that you’ll learn something new. I’ve been drinking tea all of my life, and making this tea film taught me that tea is a bottomless subject; it’s what makes tea so special. And you’ll connect with fellow tea lovers, sipping good tea together.

Absolutely! Children ages 6+ are welcome. This Tea Event is designed to be engaging, entertaining, and educational. Tea is a family-friendly, fun learning experience. I encourage young history buffs and tea-lovers to ask questions.
