- Bring water to a boil and remove from heat
- Cut lemon and ginger into thin slices. Add to the hot water
- Steep for 5-10 minutes
- Opt-in the Black tea if desired by pouring the already steeped tea (loose leaves or tea bags) into the lemon and ginger mixture.
- Strain and pour the wholesome tonic into your favorite mug.
- Add honey, stir, and serve.
